low stress cannabis training
Low Stress Cannabis Training For Maximum Yield Here, nature collides with your skills in plant growing to create great results. You want to be able to control the plant growth and get maximum yield out of every plant. Even in a small space, training your cannabis plant is a great way to do this.
The method is particularly suitable if you do not have a high ceiling in your flowering area. Or you have only one or two plants to work with but still want to achieve good yields. The goal is to make the plant bushy by means of targeted pruning. This ensures that the plant produces more lateral branches that in turn will provide more flowers.
Tying the plant down has several advantages, firstly it keeps the height of the plant lower than it would normally be. As a result It also allows the available light to penetrate the canopy over a wider area. This allows more bud sites to grow under quality light.
Low Stress Cannabis Training For Maximum Yield
There are several techniques for this, and you should familiarize yourself with those before you start your grow. Low Stress Training (pictured above) can significantly increase cannabis yields when done right. Other techniques include Fimming, Topping, Super Cropping, SCROG (Screen of green), etc.
Utilize clamps or drill holes in the side of the pot to hold the string to the side of the pot to keep the plant leaning over. Make small changes everyday and then add more string pulling the next tier of leaves in another direction. After a short while the plant will have lots of new growth which has been trained to grow in the direction you want.
Training For Maximum Yield
You can start tying up the plant as soon as you like but I think its best to allow the plant up to its fourth leaf node first. Utilize clamps or drill holes in the side of the pot to hold the string to the side of the pot.
Try to keep the plant leaning over make small changes everyday and then add more string. Pulling the next tier of leaves in another direction. After a short while the plant will have lots of new growth which has been trained to grow in the direction you want.
Start by getting some hemp or twine and a couple of little clamps. Pull the plant to one side of the pot with the twine ever so slowly and doing a small amount of training day by day.
The plant is now tied down as in the picture this serves to both stabilize the plant and makes the plant put out new growth along the stem.
In step three we can now remove some of the leaves to allow good penetration of light.
In step four we can see the strong growth of the side shoots. It is important to start tying down the tallest of these shoots. This will allow us to make all the potential bud sites the same height which will result in a heavier yield.
At the end of the Veg phase there should be lots of new growth. And the grow area should be full of potential bud tip. A cannabis plant which has been Lst in this way has the potential to increase its potential yield. So much so that it will often produce as much as a Sea of green would in the same area.
This is an excellent technique to employ if you have limited headroom. And is a good alternative to a SCROG grow.
